A book stair open to all, a jar shelf and a garret for free account holders, and every rule inked into the night book.
Wickstair Library is open to everyone: spin it on the home page or on its own page with free play coins. There is no name, email or password to give and nothing to tick.
Greenglaze Daybreak and Starwheel Garret are kept behind a free account. Woodruff’s label form wants four things written on it: a nickname, an email address, a password and the tick that says you have turned 18. There is no line for a card, none for a home address and none for a phone, because not one jar on the shelves is priced. The label earns its keep in two ways: your coins and progress keep on the shelf till you come back, and the reels stay in adult hands. Peel it off with one button on your account page, and everything written on it goes too.
Every new jar is filled with 100,000 free coins, and whatever the book stair has paid you in this browser is tipped in on top. After that, stair, shelf and garret all weigh from that same balance, that same level, that same list of missions. Coins are virtual: they are never bought, sold, withdrawn or swapped for anything, and a win from the jars is worth nothing beyond the stillroom door.
No in-app purchases, and no payment page on a single shelf.
Five reels across, three rows down, in every world on the shelf. Woodruff tallies a win from the leftmost reel, then reel after neighbouring reel along one fixed payline. Your stake is weighed out in equal pinches over the lines; paytable values are multiples of the line bet, excepting only the scatter, which pays on the total stake. Where one line could pay twice, Woodruff pays only its heavier win.
| Bonus in the jar | What happens in the jar | Jars that hold it |
|---|---|---|
| Tumbling reels | A winning symbol vanishes like steam off a pan; the symbols above it slip down a notch and fresh ones drop into the gaps from the top of the reel. Each further win in that chain weighs heavier: x1 on the spin itself, x2 and x3 on the next two tumbles, then x5 on every tumble after that. | Starwheel Garret |
| Free-spin multiplier that climbs the stair | Once free spins begin the multiplier only climbs; it cannot slide back down before the round is over. | Wickstair Library |
| Wilds that stay corked for a respin | A paid spin that wins nothing but shows a wild leaves every wild exactly where it fell, and the remaining squares spin again, free. | Greenglaze Daybreak |
| Last-reel respin | Two scatters on a paid spin that wins nothing make the fifth reel turn one more time, free, looking for the third. | |
| Free spins with each win weighed double | The simplest bonus on any shelf: three scatters set free spins going, and every win landed during them is paid twice over. |
Round each reel runs a fixed strip of symbols, wound tight as twine on a jar neck. Each spin, the random number generator built into your browser lands every strip on an independent random stop of its own. A spin carries no memory of its elders, and the stops never lean towards your balance or towards how many candles you have burned down.
Before a figure reaches a paytable, Woodruff sets the world’s own code spinning through millions of rounds and measures its return, hit frequency and feature frequency. Those numbers belong to free coin play on these shelves; they tell you nothing whatsoever about any real-money game.
Only grown-ups of 18 or over are let into Stillroom Jars. Its reels turn on virtual coins with no monetary value; buying, selling, withdrawing or exchanging them is impossible. Woodruff keeps no coin shop on any shelf and no payment page behind the counter, the jars hide no prize of real-world value, and success here does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
